This is Andreita's Border Resident ID issued to Mexican citizens residing in a border area. This apparently allowed her to enter and leave the country by simply presenting this ID. It was issued in 1956. Her marital status was marked as " Widow". Her discription (color) was marke as moreno ( a word used in Mexico to describe tan to dark skinned individuals). Her hair color was described as "cano" (the white-grey hair of old age). Her eye color was marked as blue. Her address at time was #3 Abasolo St. West, Piedras Negras, Coahuila |
Anecdotes, Stories, and more: Andreita used to wear up to six dresses over each other. She did not like be seen with dirty dresses. When her outer dressed got dirty, she simply took it off to reveal a clean dress underneath. She would repeat this every time she dirtied her dress. |
